The Leeds office of fast-expanding PR agency Lucre has been appointed by Glen Dimplex Home Appliances, manufacturer of Belling, Stoves, New World and Lec, for consumer and trade PR following a four-way national, competitive pitch.
With British heritage spanning two centuries, Glen Dimplex Home Appliances manufactures and markets three of the UK’s top ten cooking brands: Belling, Stoves and New World, as well as one of the top names in refrigeration, Lec.
Lucre, which works on a payment by results methodology, will be promoting awareness of the brands' cooking and refrigeration product ranges, as well as accessories and appliances. The PR campaign will involve high profile news generating platforms, as well as partnerships with the Women's Institute, British Army and a soon to be unveiled celebrity chef.
Further product launches will also take place later in the year, highlighting the company's modern manufacturing processes and knowledge of the needs and wants of the modern British cook.
Adrian Johnson, a director at Lucre, who leads a team of eight on the GDHA account, said: "Glen Dimplex Home Appliances is a British company with a tremendous heritage and real commitment to design and innovation, so we are thrilled to be working with them on four of their top brands.
"We're looking forward to delivering vibrant PR campaigns which will highlight the high standards of customer service and extensive portfolio of products that the business has to offer."
Jane Rylands, Marketing Services Manager of Glen Dimplex Home Appliances, commented: "The calibre of proposals from the short-listed agencies was excellent. Lucre’s fresh ideas, enthusiasm and results-focused approach really stood out for us, making them the ideal agency to help us raise the profile, yet further, of our four leading brands."
