Lucre, the Leeds-based PR and event management agency, has been appointed by a Yorkshire-based property company to handle publicity of The Chambers, a £10m venture - the agency has also welcomed a new member to the team.
Aimed at the business traveller and discerning tourist, The Chambers provides luxury, short, medium or long-stay apartments for professional people, setting new industry benchmarks for standards of accommodation and service.
Bridging the gap between top-class hotels and luxury apartments, the development comprises 34 one- and two- bedroom apartments at a new purpose-built development, Riverside West Leeds, LS1; while a further 63 apartments will be developed at Park Place Leeds.
Created, developed and managed by Christine Boothroyd, property advice is provided by her husband Richard Boothroyd who has 25 years' experience in the construction and property industry.
This latest win adds to the already impressive client list Lucre has attracted in its first six months' trading. Other clients include Best Western Hotels GB, Jet2.com, QHotels and Bailey Teswaine.
Account Executive Jonathan Priestley will complement the team as they cement early successes and seek to build on the strong foundations laid over the past half a year.
Director Sophie Spyropoulos said: "We are very excited that we have extended our leisure portfolio with this latest win and this caps a fantastic first six months for us.
"Jonathan joining the team will allow us to grow further and I'm sure he'll fit in well and contribute to the ongoing success of our company."
Whilst studying at Leeds University for a degree in French and Italian, Jonathan spent time both in France, at Lille University and Italy, where he attended classes at the Trieste School for Interpreters and Translators.
He has also put his linguistic skills to good use in the PR world, liaising with Italian newsdesks and translating press releases whilst doing work experience at a London-based agency.
Jonathan said: "Working for Lucre is a wonderful opportunity for me. I look forward to joining a team that has already seen considerable success and continues to expand rapidly.
"Joining this dynamic environment early on gives me the chance to grow and develop along with the company and I look forward to being part of a bigger and more successful team in six months."
